hi, you have to file the saint caliper body 'lil bit, also the avid adaptor is for 180 not 183 so you have to insert 1.5mm ring. good luck and let me know how it goes...

on your demo 7, are they the hope mini/m4 discs or the m6/v2 discs? if they are the mini/m4 saw discs what adaptor are you using to run with your saint brakes? ive just bought some 203/183mm floating saw rotors (mini/m4) but the avid adaptor im using doesnt have enough adjustment ,and i get problems with the disc rubbing on the right hand side brake pad.

my previous 2006 demo8 has similar hole in the link (cnc'ed by spez) - i used small tuner and hand-machined it. i think we can cut the top as well as it's not connected to shock or load... Big Grin

I'm interested in more information about the the Al link you cut out to reduce weight. What did you use to do the cut? Could you cut the top as well and still maintain an acceptable level or structural integrity?

LG-1 on 06D8 = no problem, just use the iscg mount + 2 thin washers, chainring on the middle mount (36 ok, 38 very tight clearance to arm) - i use shimano cranks.

Did you have any fitting problems w/ the LG1 on your 06 demo 8? I'm building mine up finally and about to order one. I'm guessing I need the LG1 W for wide ideal for 8+in travel frames. Thanks. Ps all of your bikes are specced like a pro
